1. Implement, follow and monitor an appropriate standard of Risk Management and Quality Assurance practices with an overall  focus on being No1 in Safety and Service at all times.
2. Be cognisant of our obligations to our clients and to deliver cost effective quality systems and service indicative of industry best practices.
3. Engage competent highly trained specialists  to evaluate the technical requirements of specifications and the technical merits of works and to deliver to the client, a project which is correctly engineered, completed on time, within budget and with minimisation of life cycle costs with minimum impact to the environment
4. Meet all contractual and legal obligations including compliance with the Safety Management Plan, Statutory Requirements, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice. In particular, those which apply to environmental and health and safety issues.
5. Implement and maintain correct business and management practices, together with adequate asset backing, to ensure financial accountability, financial stability and long term sustainability.
6. Promote the best interests of the community and the environment by ensuring that clients are aware of the effect of new developments in technology, materials and systems.
7. Encourage education, training and advancement of employees including apprentices, tradespersons, engineers and administration staff to ensure a competent and multi-skilled workforce within equal opportunity guidelines.
8. Maintain integrity and honour requirements of confidentiality, and to observe the highest standards of business principles so as to prevent deceptive, misleading or other improper conduct.

9. Follow and encourage the adoption of proper tendering practices in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and Codes.

Responsibilities

The Project Manager has overall responsibility for safety on the project and is to ensure as a minimum that:

* Airconstruct H.V.A.C. safety procedures as outlined in the Safety Management Plan are implemented, followed and reviewed.
* The principles of Hierarchy of Controls are utilised in design, fabrication and installation activities to minimise the risk to personnel or contractors in the workplace.
* Reviewing safety reports and inspections and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

The Supervisor has the overall responsibility for the safety of Airconstruct H.V.A.C. employees and its contractors on site and is to ensure as a minimum that:

* All employees or contractors coming to site are competent and fit for duty.
* Appropriate J.S.E.A.’s and 27 Safety Checks documentation are carried out on all tasks that are not covered by a Standard Operating Procedure or Work Instruction.
* All necessary records required by Airconstruct H.V.A.C. are maintained and available on request.
* Airconstruct H.V.A.C. Job Dockets and other necessary records required are maintained and available to the Project Manager on request.
* All appropriate PPE meets Australian Standards and is readily available and issued to staff.
* All employees and contractors are inducted into and understand the requirements of the Safety Management Plan.
* Plant and equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s, legislative and  specific requirements.
* Electrical equipment is tested, tagged and reordered at the appropriate intervals.
* Employees’ safety awareness is maintained, this will occur through tool box meetings, inspections and general discussion.
* The Supervisor  must hold a current QMS 1,2 and 3 Supervisors Ticket

The Employees shall ensure that they:

* Take care of which they are capable for their own health and safety and also of anyone else who may be affected by their actions at the workplace.
* Carry out our 27 Safety Check document before commencing any new task.
* Follow specific Work Instructions and complete J.S.E.A’s as required.
* Not wilfully or recklessly interfere with safety equipment.
* Not place at risk the health and safety of others at the workplace.
* Employees are to comply with inductions and all instructions as reasonably given.
* Employees must wear safety equipment as required e.g. Safety boots, safety helmet (at all times), PPE as required by M.S.D.S., safety glasses, gloves and ear protection.  All safety equipment is to be kept in good condition and looked after by you personally.
* Long hair must be contained while on site. Loose clothing and jewellery is a hazard and must be removed prior to engaging in any electrical work.
* Gloves may only be removed to undertake fine work, and the reasons must be noted for glove removal documented and approved by a BMA Contractor Supervisor on the Airconstruct 27 Safety Checklist.
